“Handcrafted in the Carolina Mountains” is the motto of this popular chamber music festival. This program from the festival’s 2008 season evokes summer breezes. It features Serenades by Post-Romantics Max Reger and Ernst von Dóhnanyi, and is rounded out by offerings from the Impressionist Debussy and a quartet by Mozart for the instrument he reportedly loved to hate, the flute.
